Q: How to choose the best ratio?
A: According to the previous experiments & feedback from customers, the wavelength and suggested ratios as below:
Red wavelength: 620-630nm, good for sprouting and flowering
- Stimulates photosynthesis, slows upward plant growth
- Stimulates branching, gives a smaller leaf surface with a thicker leaf
Blue wavelength: 460-470nm, promote the growth
- Stimulates photosynthesis, promotes translocation of assimilates
- Stimulates the formation of chloroplasts and chlorophyll, opens the stomata
- Compacts plant structure, thick leaf
Orange wavelength: 610-615nm, good for fruiting
UV wavelength: 380-420nm
- Promotes strength, intensifies flower color, less chlorophyll
IR wavelength: 720-940nm
- Stimulates upward plant growth, slows branching
- Larger, thinner leaf, promote flowering and setting of fruit

With the mixture of red, blue, orange, yellow, green, UV, IR and white lights, led grow light with full spectrum provide the plants required nutrient light, customers also can choose suitable wavelength, ratios, and LED colors for different plants.
Suggested Ratio for plants in different stages:
1. Vegetative stage: red: blue = 2: 7
2. Flowering stage: red: blue = 7: 2
3. Fruiting stage: red: blue: orange = 7: 1: 1
Q: Why actual working power is less than the chip power by 30% ~ 40% decreased?
A: To protect the LED chip, we turn down the current to drive the 3W LED chip at about 1.8-2.1W. If we take full use the 3W power, the brightness will only increase 10%, and negatively, the led working temperature will be much higher, which will reduce the lifespan of the light.
